BIO

Raphael Sater is a London based guitarist, songwriter and producer. He picked-up the electric guitar at 12 years old, inspired by the likes of John Mayer, Eric Clapton and Nile Rodgers. While in high school, his first band played several concerts in Barcelona, Spain.

Post high school, he began pursuing his career in music.  He first attended a summer program in guitar performance, at the Berklee College Of Music - Boston, where he performed in Pop/Rock and Fusion ensembles.

He then obtained a diploma at Music Academy International, France - within the Berklee network.

Focusing on guitar, the formal training covered all aspects of contemporary music. He also gained further live experiences playing in a band that mixed Soul, Jazz and Blues.

Seeking to evolve into composition, his diploma in songwriting was earned at the British & Irish Modern Music Institute (BIMM) in London. At BIMM, he co-wrote with various artists, and performed at London venues such as St Pancras Old Church and Under The Bridge. He collaborated with Italian artist GIUBEY, recording two songs at Abbey Road Studios (The Gatehouse). In January 2020, he recorded guitar in Abbey Road Studio 2.

His next diploma, in musical production and sound engineering, at Abbey Road Institute, allowed for professional level experience with industry participants.

Between August 2020 and May 2021, he worked at Abbey Road Institute as a technician, supervising equipment, facilities and assisting students at Abbey Road and at Studio 13 (Damon Albarn's Studio (Blur/Gorillaz)).

He now collaborates with various artists’ singles and EPs as a co-writer, producer and studio musician.
